Where to start...first off, as you can see although I slacked off a bit on the de-balding pic's,my hair is back. It's not in my eyes yet...but I did have to trim my eye brows as they started to look like a couple of catapillars, lmao. Well I took soooo many pic's (22o), broke down and purchased a 512mb card, huge difference from the 8mb I had. We had a blast other than having to get up at 2:30AM Thursday morning and drive to Port Dover. The girl who runs the tour lives there as did most of the other ppl on the bus. I think I will tell this story over the next couple of days as there is sooo much to tell. I will post pictures and try to give some explanation but most are self explanitory. We boarded the bus around 4:30am and were on route by 5:am .This was the first time for me taking a trip this long on a bus. It was rather enjoyable as the driver made frequent rest stops which let the smokers have their fix also. We crossed the border about 6:30, and seeing as we were all well informed as to the paper work required, there was little problem crossing, but coming back is a whole other story, lmao. I can't remember ALL the stops but as I said, she stopped about every 3hrs. By the way ...it was FEMALE bus driver, and she handled that vehicle like a pro for the most part, more about that later. Apparently...these trips started out as a family and friends trip for the tour girl's (Lee) mother,as she had been diagnosed with cancer and they thought this would be a cool way for all to share her mothers wish to visit New York City. I must let you know that what I am speaking about took place about four yrs ago. Anyway...as Lee's father drove bus for Will's bus lines, they set up the New York trip. Sadly, her mom passed away before the trip came to fruition. But rather than cancel the trip,it was decided to continue as a memorial to her mom. When word spread about how much everyone enjoyed the trip other than the guest of honor not being there,Lee was bombarded by phone calls asking when the next trip was,Lee explained the circumstances, but still got the calls. So her husband suggested they either book another trip or change their phone number. Lee and her husband are probably in their late 20's or early 30's with a 7 yr old daughter. Hubby stayed home to watch the daughter. Anyhow, she has been doing this ever since, about a dozen trips a year to different destinations. Lee explained the trips give her a much needed reprise from motherhood and wifehood, lol, pretty cool gig she has going. She has the maturity and sensibility to pull these trips off with very few f-ups. The first few trips were "Women Only" as they were mainly shopping trips and Lee didn't want to deal with drunken husbands, lmao.Somewhere along the line she broke down and allowed us "PEE ON'S" to accompany the wives. Truth be known it was probably the only way the wives could do repeat trips, lol. So this is the back ground of the Port Dover Tour thing. I think I have written enough for today, but will do the next couple blogs either a day or two at a time accompanied by photo's. Here are a couple to whet the appatite. Must tell you tho, it rained for the first two days there ,so some of the pictures have rain drops on them. I purchased a c.d with some excellent pic's and will post if I figure out HOW to get them off the slide show or if I can post the whole slide show,we will see.Well...apparently I am unable to post pictures right now so I will try later.

I know we had to convince Jess to go to New York last fall with the school but she had an amazing time and memories that will last her lifetime I am hoping some day to make a familt trek there so she is already 1 up on us. She had such a good time that she is already trying to get us to allow her to travel to spain and France with the school next year at a cost of $2800.00 but again chance of a lifetime for her so we will have to work on that
This tour thing would be great for you Rob as it will get you there with accomodations for $400 canadian each. The girl said she would allow kids over the age of twelve.Something to think about amigo.
